It's just kind of a real bummer that everytime I want to see the very first thread, it, of course, falls under "The Ban-able Offense" thread. I really find it depressing and not a true vision of our friendly board atmosphere.
Just wondering if enough time has now passed over this issue and it can be removed altogether or placed elsewhere?

I think it is in the past. . . maybe replace it with a sticky saying, "Reminder: Child and Family Friendly Atmosphere and Topics Only" or something like that.

Yes, I would enjoy that to. Ecspecially since the affiliation with girls inc. is already over! Thanks again.

I agree - let's put the ban-able offense in the rules, and mods can PM any new perpetrators who are not toeing the line.

I was just thinking the same thing today! How weird. Yes, please replace it. There have been many new members lately and that is not a great welcome. Thank you mods for your diligence in this and for all you do to help make this board great!!!

Part of the problem is a technical one. Until now we moderators have not had access to the rules page. We actually preferred to write it into the rules when we first put it up as a stickey. Over the past few weeks we have been thinking of ways to change that, and we may have a solution.
Another part of the problem was precisely the number of new members. Without making the title a notable, jump-out-at-you one, we ran the risk of having new people miss it altogether, which did happen at least once or twice, even with the strong title.
And even though the issue is technically over, it was so upsetting an issue for people on all sides of the issue that I am confident that it will come up again somehow, unless we keep it visible somehow that that issue is not allowed on this board.
And there are always the one or two people in every group who need to push the envelope on any rule, which I found out when I tried to ask nicely for people to stop discussing it.
So we do need to keep it visible somehow, but we are working on a different way to do that.
